In order to start editing we needed a straight forward way of editing. I thought it would be a good idea to make an order before editing the thriller.
1) Copy all the footage onto the video drive then copy it to final cut pro.
2) Delete all the clips which will not be used in the sequence to prevent confusion and save time and space.
3) Separate the clips into folders with the scene name on it to make it easier. (Bedroom; Park; Zebra crossing; Photograph).
4. Start cutting the clips and putting them in order.
5. Add filters and transition to make the sequence to look smooth and professional.
6. Add the title sequence using fonts which go with the genre and colours which stand out.
7) Add the soundtrack (including pholey sounds)
8) Export the finished piece to quicktime then convert to an MP4 file.
This is the order which we thought would help us edit the thriller and also make it quicker to finish it.
