1) How did I end up playing this role?
In our opening sequence I played Ivory as I was nominated to play her. The reasons for this was because I was alright at acting and because I was able to have a scary look. We established this in our prelim which we had made earlier for practice.
2) Did I enjoy it?
I did enjoy playing this role as Ivory because it was fun and exciting. I enjoyed looking like a psycho as it was humorous and was something new to me. I also enjoyed being able to feel like I'm a part of the film as I was on screen a lot. Additionally it was exciting when I had to put my acting skills into action.
3) Were there any bad or difficult sides to playing this character?
Yes there was. I had to make sure that when I was being recorded I could put myself in my characters shoes as I had to act unhuman; weird and my emotions had to be clear. It was also embarrassing walking around London with dark eyeshadow around my eyes as it felt as if people were staring. Another difficult thing to playing this character is that I had to hold my emotions in and could not laugh as I am a bubbly person who is always smiling.
4) Have i learnt anything from this experience?
Yes. I have learnt that acting is very hard; an actor need to keep her/his characters emotions consistent as that's what a good actor does. I have also learnt that punctuality for an actor is important as it delays the schedule. Lastly but not least I have learnt that a real actor must be able to feel what the character is feeling and really get in the moment when acting.
5) If i could change anything what would it be and why?
I'd act better by keeping my emotions consistent and make it clear what my emotions are; I'd do this to allow the audience to have an insight to my feelings and my thought to make the opening sequence better.
