Question 4 - Describe the wider audience for thriller films in general

The wider audience for thriller films in general has to be suitable, and able to cope with the high level of tension, anticipation, uncertainty, anxiety, surprise and possible terror that is the content of the majority of thriller films. I have found from researching thriller film’s age certificates that they vary from 12A – 18+ and the average seems to be 15. This is because at this age we can generally cope and understand that the film is fiction and it won’t cause any further distress after the film has finished.
