Camera
I've learnt how to take the camera out of the bag safely, how to attach the battery and insert the memory card.
I understand that I need to check the lock is off and the camera is set up for filming, making sure the lens protecter is open.
I learnt to use a filter when the lighting is too bright and therefore this will make the lighting softer, also so you can see the shot without it being to bright or too dark.
I understand that I shouldn't touch the camera lens because it could leave finger prints and make the footage blurry or even scratch the lens.
Tripod
I learnt how to slide the camera on to the tripod securely and lock it so it wont slide off and break the camera.
When using a tripod I learnt how to open the legs and extend them to the right height and then to lock them in place so it can be sturdy to keep the camera still.
Using a camera outside of college
In order to use a camera outside the building, I agree to tell the teacher the exact location of where I will be filming, in order for them to know whether it is safe enough for the camera, in the weather, if the area is safe and also so that they are assured I will be with at least one other person when taking out equipment.
I know to leave my contact details with the teacher and my media card in case anything happens to he equipment and if they need to contact me.
i have learnt not to use mains electricity for equipment, but to always use batteries.
i also understand that i need to ask permission if i want to film an individual ad if i want to film in a certain location that might be private, so that i am not trespassing and am not breaking any laws.
